Every individual that supports the Wilson Area HFH automatically participates in the “Cheerful Givers” Program.”  Five clubs represent the levels of support.

The effectiveness of this ministry depends entirely on our “cheerful givers.”  We could not continue to move forward without private citizens, churches, businesses, and civic organizations supporting us. To God be the glory for every family that is touched and for all that is accomplished.

OPPORTUNITIES TO SUPPORT
There are three main ways to support the Wilson Area Habitat for Humanity: (1) volunteering one’s time and skills, (2) making financial contributions into the Operating and Capital Fund Accounts, and (3) making donations of capital assets such as land, equipment, etc.

(1) Volunteers help us keep labor cost down; thus, enabling us to build a good quality home at a more reasonable price to the homeowner.  With a wide variety of volunteer opportunities and with plenty of work to be done, we encourage everyone to lend us your skill.  We are ever so grateful for those who partner with us in this “labor of love.”

(2) As with any business, income is a must.  Most of our capital building expenses of materials and supplies, permits and/or licenses, etc. must be purchased. Operational expenses of maintaining an office site and paying administrative staff are also essential in order to fulfill our mission effectively and efficiently. Our financial resource providers are the pillars of strength to this organization and we sincerely appreciate their support.

There are two ways an individual can financially participate in this ministry.

Honorariums and memorials can also be made.  Please include the name and address of the individual for whom the donation is made so that an acknowledgement may be sent to him/her.

All donations are tax-deductible and the donor will receive a receipt for each gift.

(3) In addition to volunteering and providing financial resources, individuals may also donate capital assets such as land and building equipment. Of course, if there is a need to build a house, then there is a need for the land on which to build the house.  Partial donations/partial purchase agreements are also considered by our Board of Directors. To donate land and/or building equipment, please contact our office at (252) 291-0816 between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (EST).
