The Wilson Area Habitat For Humanity was chartered and incorporated in December of 1989. In September of 1990, WAHFH was officially affiliated with Habitat for Humanity, International. At that time, the Board of Directors began strategic long-term planning in order to financially establish the infant affiliate. Although initial growth seemed slow, the affiliate is now poised to bloom and fully blossom. Our goal is to reach out to our community and not only make a difference in the local low income housing need but to totally eliminate poverty, substandard housing in Wilson County.
